Ayer llegamos al Aeopuerto de Punta Arenas a las 6:00 hrs., provenientes de Santiago. Un par de horas después estábamos a bordo del bus que nos llevaría desde Punta Arenas a Ushuaia, pasando por Río Grande (saludos Marcelo, Martín y Sebastián! estamos en contacto para reunirnos en Ushuaia a nuestro regreso). A las 20:30 llegamos a Ushuaia, después de pasar por el lago Fagnano y el paso Garibaldi, que estaba con sus hermosos bosques nevados. Anoche nos fuimos de parranda con Christine, la amiga que conocimos en el bus. La juerga comenzó en el hostal, después de un excelente arroz primavera cocinado por Chris, y siguió en el pub Dublin, el sitio "cool" de la noche ushuaiense, donde llegan los bohemios de paso y los locales. Hoy salimos del hostal a las 10:00 y fuimos al Antarctic Dream, donde hace poco terminamos de almorzar con el capitán Ernesto Barría y sus oficiales. El recibimiento de la tripulación fue increíble, muy cálido y lleno
de buenos deseos para lograr el gran desafío que tenemos por delante.. Todos están muy entusiasmados con nuestra expedición. Ahora ya no nos queda más que esperar el zarpe para cruzar la inmesidad del mar de Hoces, uno de los más tempestuosos de nuestro planeta. En cuatro días más ya estaremos sobre la Península Antártica, en el punto de partida de la expedición. Estamos muy ansiosos por llegar y comenzar a remontar el plateau Foster por la península Reclus, superando sus glaciares, cascadas de seracs y campos de grietas... pero bueno, primero hay que entenderse con Mr. Drake...

ENGLISH VERSION

Yesterday we came to the Airport of Punta ArenasTop Sands at 6:00 hrs., from Santiago. A couple of hours later we were on board of the bus that would take from Punta Arenas to Ushuaia, passing through for Rio Grande (regards to Marcelo, Martin and Sebastián! We are in contact to meet in Ushuaia at our return).
At 20:30 we come to Ushuaia, after passing by the lake Fagnano and the Garibaldi pass, which was with his beautiful forests covered with snow. Last night we went away of spree with Christine, the friend that we knew in the bus. The partyng began in the hotel, after an excellent rice spring cooked by Chris, and continued in the pub Dublin, the "cool" place of the ushuaiense night, where there come the passing Bohemians and the local people.
Today we go out of the hotel at 10:00 and we went to the Antarctic Dream, where recently we finished having lunch with the captain Ernesto Barría and his officers. The reception of the crew was incredible, very warm and full of good wishes to achieve the great challenge that we have ahead..
They all are very been delighted by our expedition. Now already we have any more that to wait set sail to cross the hugeness of the sea of Hoces, one of the most stormy of our planet. In four more days we will be on the Antarctic Peninsula, at the starting point of the expedition.
We are very eager to arrive and begin to climb the plateau Foster by the peninsula Reclus, overcoming his glaciers, waterfalls of seracs and fields of cracks ... but well, the first it is necessary to deal with Mr. Drake...
