De Cristián: Finalmente hemos llegado a Punta Portal, el lugar donde comenzará nuestra expedición Andes Antárticos. El cruce desde las Islas Shetland del Sur, hasta este punto estuvo muy tranquilo, tuvimos excelentes condiciones de navegación, y el desembarco se realizó de manera muy expedita. Ahora nos encontramos en este punto, preparandonos para iniciar el ascenso hacia el Plateau Foster. Hoy hemos amanecido con un día despejado, unas temperaturas muy agradables, lo que nos ha permitido tener una excelente visibilidad de la zona por la que tenemos que remontar hacia el plateau, pudiendo identificar claramente los sectores donde se encuentran los campos de grietas y las cascadas de seracs que tenemos que superar. En este momento estamos ordenando los equipos, organizando los alimentos y todo lo necesario para comenzar el ascenso. Estamos muy contentos, muy entusiasmados, tenemos muchas energías, y estamos motivados para iniciar la expedición. Desde acá podemos apreciar gran parte del plateau que tenemos que cruzar, y bueno, agradecemos a todas las personas que nos han enviado mensajes, todas son gente muy importante para nosotros que nos fuerza para poder llevar a cabo esta expedición.
De Sebastián: Bueno, hola que tal, les mando un saludo a todos, acá las condiciones están muy muy buenas, estamos muy motivados para empezar a subir el plaeteau por la zona de grietas, estamos dividiendo el quipo para ver que vamos a llevar exactamente. Les mando un saludo a todas las personas que nos han apoyado, a mi familia, a mi polola Paz, que la amo mucho, y a todos los que nos han mandado mensajes de aliento para esta expedición. Les mando un abrazo grande a todos, y seguramente vamos a mandar un mensaje cuando hayamos pasado la parte más crítica. Ahí nos vemos, un beso a todos, familia, los quiero mucho, un abrazo y nos vemos.
Cristián: yo también aprovecho de mandarle un abrazo a mi hermano David, que nos esta apoyando con la traducción de estos reportes, y un saludo a Fabiola y a toda mi Familia. En los próximos días estaremos enviando nuevos reportes y antes de eso, estaremos enviando pequeños mensajes, dando la posición en que nos encontramos acampando.Un abrazo a todos, chao.
ENGLISH VERSION:
From Cristián: Finally we have come to Top Portal, the place where our expedition will begin Antarctic Andes. The crossing from the Islands Shetland of the South, up to this point was very calm, we had excellent conditions of navigation, and the disembarkation was realized in a very prompt way. Now we are in this point, preparing ourselves to initiate the ascent towards the Plateau Foster. Today our morning broke with a clear day, a few very nice temperatures, which has allowed us to take an excellent visibility of the zone we have to climb towards the plateau, being able to identify clearly the sectors where are the fields of cracks and the waterfalls of seracs that we have to overcome. At this moment we are arranging the gear, organizing the food and everything necessary to begin the ascent. We are very happy, very filled with enthusiasm, have a lot of energies, and are motivated to initiate the expedition. From here we can estimate great part of the plateau that we have to cross, and well, are grateful for all the persons who have sent theirs messages, they all are a very important people for us who forces us to be able to carry out this expedition.
