En una hora más, a las 11:30 hrs., cuando llegue la pleamar (marea alta), zarparemos de Cherbourg, con destino a Brest (Bretaña, Francia) distante a doscientas millas. Empujados por la corriente vaciante y un viento de través (viento sur) de 25 nudos, navegaremos rápidamente hacia el Oeste. El viento sur nos acompañará hasta mañana a mediodía. Luego rolará al Oeste, bajando en intensidad, hasta alcanzar los 7 nudos. El sábado volverá a rolar al Sur, y luego, hacia la tarde, al Este, alcanzando velocidades de 19 nudos. Esperamos llegar a Brest durante el sábado. Allá nos reuniremos con Fabiola, -que ahora pasea por Paris- para esperar condiciones favorables para cruzar el temido Golfo de Vizcaya: idealmente viento del Norte al Este, que no supere los 25 nudos.
